Ramadan Sobhi has joined Huddersfield Town from Stoke City for £5.7million.
The Egyptian joined the Potters in 2016 and went on to make 41 appearances, scoring twice and making one assist during his spell at the club.
The 21-year-old left-winger is Huddersfield’s third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Ben Hamer and Terence Kongolo who made his loan move permanent.
Sobhi, who is in Egypt’s squad for the World Cup, has signed a three-year deal for the Terriers while Stoke have made two signings in the past two days with the arrival of Oghenekaro Peter Etebo and Benik Afobe.
Sobhi posted a message on Twitter thanking the club and saying that he “thoroughly enjoyed [his] time in Stoke”.
The Egyptian has a very big following on social media and boasts ten times the number of followers than his new club do on Twitter and 4.2million followers on Instagram.
Potters fans have been reacting to the player’s departure, with many thinking his time at the Britannia had reached its natural conclusion.
