Wright backs Arsenal to win Premier LeagueClaims that only signing a striker won't helpArsenal showing interest in signing a strikerFollow GOAL on WhatsApp! 🟢📱WHAT HAPPENED?
Mikel Arteta's Arsenal have flopped in their hunt to win the Premier League title for the third straight season as they finished second to eventual league champions Liverpool this season. However, Gunners legend Wright has opened up on his belief that the North London side will finally break their duck and achieve their first league title since 2004.

Speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast by Betway, Wright said: "I think they [Arsenal] will win the Premier League next season because I want them to do that and I believe that they're getting closer. I think it's unlucky this season, simply the injuries and some of the decisions. But they're going to need to make some signings to give them all a boost in there. But I'm going to go with Arsenal to win the League again. Absolutely.
"Obviously, Liverpool are going to be a different entity. City can't do what they've done again. Chelsea, now that they've got into the Champions League, there might be signings. It's going to be a tougher league next year, but I'm going to say Arsenal are going to go and do it."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
However, Wright also maintained that Arsenal's issues cannot be solved only by signing a striker this summer, as they have been linked with Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres. He added: "I think that mentality-wise, [the squad] is very strong and it's going to be vital who he adds to that group. Apparently Zubimendi's there, they’re talking about Gyokeres. Whether it's Sesko, I don't know who it's going to be, but I believe that we need a main striker, another forward, I’ll probably have a backup centre-half. I would have loved us to buy Huijsen off of Bournemouth, but he's gone to Real Madrid. They saw it, and they just come in and go 'bang'.
"We just need a couple more and I think that we need a bit of luck with the injuries and the referees. PGMOL, we need some accountability for them. But at the end of the day, that's out of your control. I just think we're so close and these three second places are part of the journey. For a fan, as frustrating as it is. Hopefully, when you do finally get over the line, then you look back at these and it doesn't matter so much."
AFPWHAT NEXT FOR ARSENAL?
Arteta is planning to revamp his squad somewhat ahead of next season as the Gunners are very keen on not slipping up and losing out on the Premier League title for the fourth year running.
