Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho caused a stir on Friday with his bizarre antics in a press conference ahead of his side’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
The Portuguese boss arrived half an hour early for the media event, but only answered questions from the present journalists for a matter of minutes – 259 seconds to be exact.
Throughout the question and answer session, the Red Devils’ head coach was blunt and dismissive, and refused to go into any depth on many matters.
As reported by the BBC, when asked about what he wanted to see in the game against Spurs, Mourinho responded with “I would like to play well and win.”
After last weekend’s shock defeat at the hands of Brighton, and this terse press conference, it looks as though the pressure of the Old Trafford hot seat may be getting to Mourinho. Certainly, there are plenty of United fans out there ready to see him go.
However, he also has many defenders – especially of his attitude towards the press – amongst the United faithful.
This press conference, and Mourinho’s performance in it, sparked off a debate on Twitter amongst United fans. Here’s a look at some of the reaction…
