As reported by The Scottish Sun earlier this week, Rangers have missed out on the chance to sign Louis Moult in January with the player instead looking like he’ll sign a pre-contract with Preston North End.
The player is out-of-contract at Motherwell at the end of this season and he’s a sought after star with the paper also reporting Hibernian were interested in taking him to Easter Road.
Moult has been mightily impressive in Scottish football this season, so far scoring 14 goals in all competitions, including against Rangers themselves in the League Cup semi-final.
Some Light Blues supporters have long admired the English striker and are disappointing he won’t be making the switch to Ibrox where he’d be fighting it out with the likes of Kenny Miller and Alfredo Morelos for a starting position.
Will Rangers come to regret not doing more to bring him to Glasgow or will he be forgotten in time?
