Any football fan would be fuming after watching their team lose 3-0 against one of the worst teams in the league, but Aston Villa fans have even more reason to be angry after their game against relegation-threatened Watford.
No, it’s not due to the fact that the Hornets had 10 men for a decent period of the game, and it’s not down to the fact that this loss has seen the Berkshire club move within two points of Dean Smith’s side.
It’s due to who scored the decisive goals against Villa.
Much to the joy of Birmingham City supporters, huge Blues fan Troy Deeney netted a brace against Villa.
The striker has made no secret about his allegiances throughout his career, and it seems as if his love for the St Andrew’s side spurred him on against their biggest rivals.
Understandably, some supporters were quick to make their feelings about Deeney known after his goals condemned their side to defeat.
Others believed that his strikes were simply inevitable as it was written in the stars that Deeney would find the net against the team he hates the most.
Surprisingly, there were others who were actually appreciative of the striker’s talents.
A number of fans stated that they hate the striker, but they were more than happy to admit that he’s a good player.
In other news, Villa fans have been reacting to one potential big-name departure.
